This session will focus on advanced metering, prefaced by a discussion of power quality fundamentals. The speaker will discuss why power quality is so important today and the impacts of poor power quality, with details on renewable energy systems, harmonics and power anomalies on the power delivered, energy consumed and reliability of the infrastructure. Then the session will examine advanced metering hardware and software and its critical importance in energy management, predictive analysis, and PQ analysis.
